3. Account Registration & Security
You must create an account to book or list properties.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Notify us immediately of unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
TheIBNB is not liable for losses due to compromised accounts unless caused by our negligence.
4. Listings & Host Responsibilities
Hosts agree to:
Provide accurate descriptions, photos, and availability for their properties.
Comply with local laws, licensing, permits, and tax requirements in Mauritius or their jurisdiction.
Maintain properties in safe, habitable condition.
Honor confirmed reservations unless prevented by force majeure.
Handle check-ins, check-outs, and guest communications promptly.
5. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
Provide accurate booking details (guest count, dates, special requirements).
Respect the property, house rules, and neighbors.
Avoid illegal activity, subletting, or damage to the property.
Pay all applicable fees, taxes, and security deposits.
6. Booking, Payments & Fees
Booking Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once payment has been processed.
Payments: All transactions are processed via secure third-party payment providers.
Service Fees: TheIBNB may charge service or processing fees for reservations.
Security Deposits: May apply depending on host requirements.
Taxes: Guests and hosts are responsible for paying applicable taxes (e.g., VAT, tourism levies).
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Guest Cancellations: Refunds depend on the host’s cancellation policy displayed on the listing.
Host Cancellations: Guests will receive a full refund, and TheIBNB may impose penalties on the host.
No-Show: Failure to check in without notice results in forfeiture of the reservation fee.
Force Majeure: Natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions may override cancellation policies.
8. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
Use the platform for illegal purposes.
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
Circumvent TheIBNB by arranging off-platform payments.
Interfere with the Site’s operation (hacking, spamming, scraping).
9. Intellectual Property
TheIBNB retains all rights to the Site, logo, brand, and content.
Users may not copy, modify, or distribute Site content without written consent.
Hosts grant TheIBNB a non-exclusive license to display property content on the Site.
10. Liability & Disclaimers
TheIBNB is a platform, not a property manager or real estate agent.
We do not control host behavior, property conditions, or guest actions.
TheIBNB is not liable for damages, losses, or injuries arising from stays, except where required by law.
Users release TheIBNB from claims related to disputes between guests and hosts.
11. Dispute Resolution
Guest–Host Disputes: Must first be attempted through our Resolution Center.
Legal Claims: Governed by the laws of Mauritius.
Arbitration: International disputes may be resolved through arbitration under UNCITRAL rules.
12. Privacy
